Forex news: the yen plunges against all majors



image During early Asian trading on Thursday the Japanese yen fell to a new multi-day low against the Swiss franc. Apart from this the yen also slid against pound, euro and dollar.

The Japanese yen weakened against its Swiss counterpart during Asian trading on Thursday. At about 9:05 pm ET, the yen touched a 13-day low of 88.63 versus the franc, compared to 88.43 hit late Wednesday in New York. The next downside target for the yen is seen around the 88.9 level.

The Japanese unit weakened in early Asian dealings versus the euro, plunging to 134.31. If the yen slides further, 135.04 is seen as the next likely target level. At Wednesday’s New York session close, the euro-yen pair was quoted at 134.00.

Thursday in Asia, the yen continued to move lower versus the sterling, and dropped to 152.71, which may be compared to yesterday’s closing value of 152.34. The next downside target for the Japanese currency is seen around the 153.3 level.

The yen plunged to 92.26 against the US dollar in early deals on Thursday. On the downside, the Japanese currency may likely target the 93.1 level against the buck. The dollar-yen pair closed yesterday’s New York session at 92.05.
